Easy access to global markets and 5 Universities with world class research
NETPark is central to all 5 of the region's universities and in an ideal location to support the work of the North East's Centres of Excellence. It also benefits from easy access to 2 international airports and national road and rail links.
By road: only minutes from the A1(M), which links in to the national motorway network, and the A19 trunk road. The North East and the rest of the UK are within easy reach - it is less than 2½ hours by road to Manchester and only around 3½ hours to Birmingham.
By air: worldwide connections and domestic flights are available via Newcastle and Durham Tees Valley international airports. A flight to Heathrow takes only 45 minutes and to Amsterdam's Schiphol just 1¼ hours.
By rail: the two east coast mainline stations (Durham and Darlington) are each within 30 minutes drive. Fast and frequent services run to the rest of the country - a 2 1/2 hour rail journey will take you to central London, and the service to Edinburgh takes less than 2 hours.
By bus: regular, frequent bus services connect Sedgefield with the major regional centres of Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham, Middlesbrough, Darlington, Hartlepool and Stockton, in addition to the surrounding smaller towns and villages.
