What is NETPark
NETPark is one of the fastest growing science, engineering and technology parks in the UK
NETPark is North East England's premier science, engineering and technology park for the commercialisation of cutting edge R&D. It's where companies lead the way in developing world-class technologies that create new products and new markets.
Based in County Durham, companies at NETPark have access to tailored business support that enables them to achieve their potential. They are part of a like-minded community in plastic electronics, nano and micro technology, software, photonics, microelectronics, defence and healthcare which enables each company to flourish, grow and compete with the best in the world.
NETPark opened in 2004 and is already one of the fastest-growing science parks in the UK. The development of NETPark is led by Durham County Council in partnership with Sedgefield Borough Council, One NorthEast and Durham University. Helios City is the preferred developer for the initial phase of development which covers 13 of the 90 hectares available.
Management and marketing of the site is in the hands of County Durham Development Company, Durham County Council's inward investment arm.
